RVAsec has reserved a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn Downtown for out of town guests. The rate is $144* (includes hot breakfast) and discounted parking ($10/day in & out privileges).

You book online book online or call the hotel at 804-643-5400 and ask for the “RVAsec 2020” rate.

When you call the hotel please tell mention the block “RVAsec2020” to get the special rate.

Conference Keynote

We are pleased to announce that Paul Asadoorian, Security Weekly, Founder & CTO will be keynoting RVAsec 2020!

Paul spent time “in the trenches” implementing security programs for a lottery company and then a large university. Paul is offensive, having spent several years as a penetration tester. He is the founder of the Security Weekly podcast network, offering freely available shows on the topics of information security and hacking. As Product Evangelist for Tenable Network Security, Paul built a library of materials on the topic of vulnerability management. When not hacking together embedded systems (or just plain hacking them) or coding silly projects in Python, Paul can be found researching his next set of headphones.

RVAsec 2020 Registration Is Now Open!

Announcement Conference

Tickets for RVAsec 2020 are now on sale!

Early registration price is only $175 for two days of great speakers, food and beverages, t-shirt, swag, parking and more!

RVAsec’s base ticket price for 2020 is $225 and will be in place after 2/1–so don’t wait! And if that’s not enough incentive to purchase your tickets early, late registrations (after 3/20) will be $300!

Don’t forget all the things you get with registration, including 2 full days of talks, meals, snacks, drinks, reception, after party, prizes, a capture the flag contest, t-shirt & swag!

Once we sell out there will be no more tickets available. Please remember you are not guaranteed shirts, bags and badges if you register late.

So, to recap the conference prices:

$175 discounted price until 1/31
$225 regular price until 3/20
$300 late registration until 4/24
$425 super late registration until 5/1

If you are unable to attend due to the price, please contact us to discuss as we do have stipends available for students and also have volunteer opportunities that provide a great way to get in for free!

Once again there will be no tickets sold at the door, and don’t forget that RVAsec has sold out every year–so don’t wait! Please note there are no refunds due to processing fees. You can however easily transfer your ticket.

RVAsec is a Richmond, VA based security convention that brings top industry speakers to the midatlantic region. In its eighth year, RVAsec 2019 attracted over 750 security professionals from across the country. For 2020, the conference is a two day and three track format, with a mixed focus on technical and management/business presentations.

Presenters will need to select technical, business/management, or 101 tracks.
While we welcome foreign speakers, we are unable provide sponsorship for entry to the U.S.
